No license, no prior sailing experience — AURA's bareboat rental lets you take the helm within a defined sailing zone departing from Nydri port. The zone covers enough water to anchor in quiet coves, swim in turquoise bays, and have a full day on the Ionian without feeling constrained.
The price is €200 for the full day, for up to 6 guests. A briefing on the vessel and a map of the permitted sailing area are provided before departure. A licensed skipper is available as an optional add-on — useful if someone in the group wants to captain later in the day, or if you'd simply prefer to let someone else handle navigation entirely.
This option suits groups who want freedom without a fixed itinerary and without paying for a skippered charter. Bring food, drinks, and music — the boat has a cooler, JBL speakers, and snorkelling gear on board. Available May through October from Nydri.
